Pope, 82, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away, Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022 at her home surrounded by family.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Pope was born July 14, 1940 in Ottawa, KS, to George and Florence Pope.<\/p>\n<p>She was survived by her son, Jerry Kline (Shar); daughter, Susan Bond (Kevin); grandchildren, Carrie Hammond (Jeff), Stuart Kline, and Lucian Bond; and great grandchildren, Jaylin Sayers and Connor Bond. Judy and her family were blessed to have an additional daughter\/sister, Mary Estes, who is a longtime friend and caregiver to Judy.<\/p>\n<p>Judy taught school in Excelsior Springs school district for thirty plus years, was a cheerleading sponsor and was a coach for the ESHS dance team (Tigerettes), which she lovingly referred to as &#8220;her girls&#8221;. She retired from the school district in 1998 and upon retirement continued working in retail at Stage\/Goody&#8217;s in Excelsior Springs for 17 years.<\/p>\n<p>A memorial, Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs, in Excelsior Springs, MO.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, Judy requested donations be made to 1st United Methodist Church for the planting of trees,1st United Methodist Church Pre-school or the ESHS Dance Team program.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements in care of Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>Love you judge Judy.
