\"JanetJanet Ethayle (Watkins) Taylor, age 90, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away at NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City, Missouri, on November 20, 2022. She born December 22, 1931 in Falls City, Nebraska, to the late Ernest and Mable (Goolsby) Watkins. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Ernest Watkins.<\/p>\n

She was married to Maurice D. Taylor on August 10, 1952 and moved to Kansas City that same year.<\/p>\n

She is survived by their son, Terry D. Taylor; daughter-in-law, Sherry (Buck) Taylor; grandsons, Chase Taylor and Drake Taylor; granddaughter, Grace Taylor; and great granddaughter, Skyla Taylor. She is also survived by the couple\u2019s daughter, Jana (Taylor) Barnhart; son-in-law, Michael Barnhart; grandson, Sean Barnhart his wife, Bethany (Yirkovski); great grandson, Silas Barnhart; and granddaughter, Cezanne Barnhart. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.<\/p>\n

Janet was a long time member of the Fairview Christian Church and deeply devoted to her faith and church. Over the years she held several department chairmanships, taught Sunday School, was church pianist and organist for many years, sang in the choir, was a member of the Bell Choir and active in Christian Women\u2019s Fellowship and was an elder and elder emeritus. She was highly respected by her church family, and all who knew her.<\/p>\n

A visitation at 10 a.m. and celebration of life at 11 a.m. will be held at Fairview Christian Church, 1800 NE 65th Street, Gladstone, MO 64118, on Saturday, December 3, 2022. A portion of her ashes will be committed to the earth in the Fairview Cemetery in Kearney, Missouri, at 12 p.m. and a luncheon will be hosted at the church immediately thereafter.<\/p>\n

A portion of her ashes will also be committed to the earth at the Verdon Cemetery in Verdon, Nebraska, at a later time.<\/p>\n
