Judy Lorraine Fry, 82, of Kearney, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 11, 2022.<\/p>\nJudy Lorraine Fry, 82, of Kearney, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 11, 2022.<\/p>\n
Judy was born on April 17, 1940, to parents Lawrence and Beulah Jones.\u00a0 She was united in marriage to Kenneth Fry on July 21, 1983.<\/p>\n
She dedicated her career to doing hair for 53 years beginning with her first salon, Judy\u2019s Klip N Kurl in Trimble, then moving to Smithville and spending her remaining 35 years in Kearney. Judy loved her clients, listening to all their stories and spending time with them in the salon.\u00a0 She and her husband, Ken, ran J & K Country Statuary for 15 years in Kearney.<\/p>\n
Judy was passionate about cooking and shared her love through cooking for her family and friends, and even a few strangers.\u00a0 She enjoyed playing Bingo and fishing, and an occasional trip to the casino.\u00a0 She loved all of her flowers.<\/p>\n
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Timothy Hudlemeyer and Robert \u201cBobby\u201d Kelly, and her four sisters, Joyce McCrery, Carol Taylor, Donna Munson, and Linda Gannaway.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of 39 years; her daughters, Tammy Troutner (Philip), Kearney, Debbie Perez (Danny), Independence, Sherry Thomas, Kansas City; and sons, Clifford Fry, Lathrop, Chad Fry (Michelle), Blue Springs, and Mike Fry, Kansas City.\u00a0 She has 17 grandchildren, and 12 great grandkids.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be held at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m.\u00a0 Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 10 a.m.\u00a0 Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kearney.<\/p>\n
Judy always made everyone welcome in their home. My daughter took her 1st steps in her salon when we were visiting. She always had a smile, a kind word, and great food!!

So sorry to hear of the loss of Judy. We all loved coming to Kearney for the Fry Family reunions that Judy and Kenneth put on for all of us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family and big hugs to cousin Kenneth Fry.

I started going to Judy shortly after my husband and I moved to Kearney about 25 years ago.\u00a0 We also played Bingo with her from time-to-time.\u00a0 Judy was a very sweet person and we both enjoyed knowing her and Kenny.\u00a0 I know she will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.\u00a0 Rest in peace Judy. I loved this woman; you will truly be missed. I will see you again Judy Fry.
