Elaine was born on July 10, 1962 in Crosby, Minnesota to George and Lois Laughton. On May 21, 1983 she married Jeffrey Wayne Compton, they were married for 39 years and 9 months.<\/p>\n
She was preceded in death by her father, George Wesley Laughton, and brother, Robert Dale Laughton.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her mother, Lois Laughton; husband, Jeffrey Compton; sons, Wayne (Melinda) Compton and Wesley (Maddison) Compton; grandchildren, Lillian, Lola, Emery, Alexandra, Calvin, Wade, Lucille, Colt, and Kadie; siblings, David (Judy) Laughton, Audrey (Wayne) Compton, Sylvia (Curtis) Hoge, Dale (Tammy) Laughton, Gayle (Kip) Williams, and Kathy (Vicki) Laughton.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhere a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.\u201d<\/p>\n
Memorial service will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2023 at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 208 South Jefferson Street, Kearney, Missouri 64060. A celebration of life will follow at Fatboyz Grill and Bar starting at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n
