{"id":1333,"date":"2017-11-20T23:24:13","date_gmt":"2017-11-20T23:24:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=1333"},"modified":"2024-07-27T04:56:23","modified_gmt":"2024-07-27T04:56:23","slug":"sandra-kay-short","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2017\/11\/20\/sandra-kay-short\/","title":{"rendered":"Sandra Kay Short"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1335 alignright\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/s_short.jpg\" alt=\"Sandra Kay Short\" width=\"175\" height=\"186\" \/>Sandra Kay Till Short, 77, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away November 20, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Sandra was born September 16, 1940 to Virgil and Virginia Till in Hannibal, Mo.\u00a0 She married Robert Short on November 26, 1965.\u00a0 She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and Devine Stichers Quilting Club.<\/p>\n<p>Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister.<\/p>\n<p>Sandra is survived by her four children, daughter, Angie and husband Jim Murphy, daughter, Chris Short, son, Brad Short, and daughter, Sarah and husband Aaron Ranes; grandchildren, Shannon and Greg Murphy, Hunter, Emma and Grady Ranes, Abby Short; brother, Michael Till; and sister-in-law, Mary Etta Taliaferro.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2017 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Excelsior Springs, Mo., with funeral Mass immediately following. Burial at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to St. Jude\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements are through Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>I am so so sorry. Sandy was such a warm, loving person. Since I moved back home to St. Joseph, she called often just to see how I was doing. She kept me up on the Devine Stitchers and it&#8217;s members. She never forgot to ask about Danny my son and the grandchildren Kayla and Collin. When I was having a tough time she always made me feel better. Prayers for comfort and peace.<br \/>\nThe Coleman Family<\/p>\n<p>I admired and loved Sandy very much.\u00a0 She had a no-nonsense sense of humor.\u00a0 She always greeted me with a smile and always had good things to say. It was very obvious that she loved her family very much.\u00a0 Sandy was such a gracious lady that had a beautiful smile. She loved her church and was very faithful in coming to mass.\u00a0 She always sat up close to hear and observe everything that was going on. Often times, I would look up from the piano and catch her gaze and her smile.\u00a0 My mom died at the exact age, thirteen years ago. Sandy, you remind me so much of my mom&#8217;s loving spirit.\u00a0 I will fondly treasure my memories of you always.<br \/>\nMay God bless your family and give them peace as they grieve your mom&#8217;s death.<br \/>\nErnie Collins<\/p>\n<p>So sorry to hear of Sandra&#8217;s passing.\u00a0 She was a great lady and loved her family dearly. Have been friends with Sandy for a small number of years and wish our friendship would have happened years before. One of the nicest ladies you could ever be fortunate enough to include in your circle of friends. She has a wonderful family with children and grandchildren that she loved so much. I know they loved her so much and will miss her a great deal. Cherish your memories and remember how blessed you were to have her as your mother and grandmother. We send our love and prayers.
