Allen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lawrence L. Allen, 78 of Kearney, Mo., passed away July 23, 2023 at home.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Allen was born April 14, 1945 in Denver, Colo., and grew up in Hamilton, Mo.<\/p>\n<p>Following high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1963 until 1969. After military service he worked for Southwestern Bell\/AT&amp;T until his retirement. He was active in the Kearney Family Foundation as well as the American Legion (post 95) and served in the honor guard.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Allen; his father, Lawrence Allen; his brother, George Allen; and his sister, Patty Orr.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Mitsuko; daughter, Brenda; son, Michael; his sisters, Barbara and Peggy; and his brothers, Charles and Robert.<\/p>\n<p>A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy in Liberty, Mo.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements in care of Fry-Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>So sorry to hear of Larry\u2019s death. May God bless you and give you strength in the days as you go forward with your grief.<br \/>\nPaul<\/p>\n<p>Very sorry to learn of Larry\u2019s sudden death. We were all together 3 weeks ago at Wilbur Park\u2019s funeral at Independence, Mo &amp; now you\u2019re gone.<br \/>\nWe were connected through our love of traveling &amp; camping as members of the JAYCO Club. We will miss you dear friend.
