Marsha Rae Brockert, 80 years old, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023, at Pleasant Hill Health & Rehab, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, with family members by her side.\u00a0 Marsha was born April 14, 1943 in St Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Opal Pauline Brock.<\/p>\n
Marsha married Clarence Hamilton Brockert, Sr. on April 21, 1962 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri at Siloam Mountain at the home of Preacher Smith.\u00a0 From this union, Clem and Marsha were blessed with four children.<\/p>\n
Marsha loved sewing, cooking and caring for her children, grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews throughout her life, woodworking and, most of all, spending time with her family.\u00a0 She attended church at Poplar Baptist Church and assisted with the VBS and many church functions.\u00a0 She also was dedicated in assisting in improvements to the Woodland Shores community when needed, while residing there, before moving to Lincoln and later with her son, William Brockert of Warsaw, MO, before her final move to Pleasant Hill Rehab due to health issues.<\/p>\n
Marsha was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Brockert, Sr.; parent, Opal Chatham; a brother, Loyal Brock; and son, Tom Clevenger.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses, Shelle and Robert Vassmer and Marty and Rick Shannon; two sons, CJ and Teets Brockert, Jr., and Willie; 25 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.<\/p>\n
Cremation. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2023 with memorial service following at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 217 W. Broadway, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024. Services will be followed by dinner at the Eagles Club,14305 State Hwy. Y, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024.<\/p>\n

\nWhile you go through the pages of the Bible to find the ingredients you will rediscover the beautiful passages of Judges, those special deliverers sent by God to release the Israelites from their oppressors.
\nThe Book of Samuel which authorities claim is the best specimen of prose in Hebrew Literature; Amos who provided so many pictorial allusions to the farming life of his day; and Jeremiah, the prophet, who never flinched from his duty.
