Melvin was a lifelong Excelsior Springs resident.<\/p>\n<p>In 1958, he married Patricia Rogers of Orrick, MO. Melvin retired after 40 years of employment as a branch manager with IBT Inc. Melvin was also a proud long-time Excelsior Springs Quarterback Club member and avid sponsor of high school athletics.<\/p>\n<p>Melvin was proceeded in death by his wife of 65 years, Pat Siegel, and parents Roy and Oneta Siegel.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include one son, Roger Siegel (Kim) of Excelsior Springs and one daughter, Cheryl Clemens (Marty) of Kansas City; one sister, Joyce Hurt of Kansas City; grandchildren, Ryan Clemens, Drake Siegel (Cierra Frederickson), Ericka (Siegel) Jordan, Adam Clemens (Haleigh Murphey), and one great-<br \/>\ngranddaughter, Alivia Jordan.<\/p>\n<p>The family will receive friends and family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Flack Memorial Church in Excelsior Springs. Graveside services will follow on Tuesday morning April 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Melvin\u2019s honor to the Excelsior Springs High School, Activities Department, 612 Tiger Dr., Excelsior Springs, MO 64024.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements in care of Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>Roger, My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.<br \/>\nKen Albin<\/p>\n<p>Cheryl and Marty<br \/>\nMy condolences for the loss of your father and father in law.
