{"id":1669,"date":"2018-01-13T18:01:38","date_gmt":"2018-01-13T18:01:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=1669"},"modified":"2021-09-27T15:54:08","modified_gmt":"2021-09-27T15:54:08","slug":"brennan-francis-van-dyne","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2018\/01\/13\/brennan-francis-van-dyne\/","title":{"rendered":"Brennan Francis Van Dyne"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1685 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/b_vandyne2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/b_vandyne2.jpg 260w, https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/b_vandyne2-234x300.jpg 234w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 260px) 100vw, 260px\" \/>Brennan Francis Van Dyne of Liberty, Mo., passed away unexpectedly on January 13, 2018.\u00a0 He was 45.<\/p>\n<p>Brennan is survived by his mother, Penny Van Dyne of Kearney, Mo.; five children, Katie Corum, 21, Kirksville, Mo., Maddi Van Dyne, 18, Tampa, Fla., and Jake Van Dyne, 16, Sam Van Dyne, 13, and Mack Van Dyne, 11, all of Liberty, Mo.;\u00a0 brothers, Sean Van Dyne, Colorado Springs, Colo., Yale and Kristina Van Dyne, Overland Park, Kans., and Dylan Van Dyne, Kansas City, Mo.;\u00a0 many nieces and nephews, Ali (Van Dyne) and Owen Lonergan, Parkville, Mo., Lauren Van Dyne, Liberty, Mo., Gabe Van Dyne, Liberty, Mo., Yale Van Dyne Jr., Minneapolis, Minn., Mary Katherine Van Dyne, Norman,Okla., and Harrison Van Dyne, Minneapolis, Minn.<\/p>\n<p>He is preceded in death by his father, Dick Van Dyne, and a brother, Tobin Van Dyne.<\/p>\n<p>Brennan was a resident of the Northland area.\u00a0 He was born in Fairway, Kans., prior to moving to Kearney in 1977.\u00a0 He attended Kearney Elementary and Kearney Middle before graduating from Kearney High School in 1990.\u00a0 Brennan was a terrific athlete and earned numerous varsity letters and honors.\u00a0 He was a captain along with All-Conference, All-District, All-State. (Punter and QB)\u00a0 All-Conference and All-District in basketball and placed fourth in the state in tennis, twice.\u00a0 He was an impressive skier, golfer, ping-ponger, dart-thrower and loved to compete.\u00a0 He was also a passionate craftsmen and could expertly make furniture along with general household repairs. (No small feat considering the Van Dyne mechanical aptitude.)<\/p>\n<p>Brennan attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where he majored in business (May 94).\u00a0 He was also a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.\u00a0 He was employed, at the time of his death, by Vin Solutions (eight years), where he was a top-level performer.<\/p>\n<p>Brennan enjoyed sports, traveling, hanging with friends and music but nothing compared to, or could measure up to his desire to spend time with his children.\u00a0 He was wholly committed, devoted and extremely proud of all five of his children and their various activities.\u00a0 He was equally thrilled to follow Katie\u2019s theatre projects and Maddi\u2019s cheerleading as he was the boy\u2019s sports activities. They were his life!<\/p>\n<p>A visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of The Annunciation in Kearney, Mo., on Saturday, January 20, 2018.\u00a0 A funeral mass will follow at 12:30 p.m., and graveside service following at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kearney, Mo.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Diabetes Foundation or Church of the Annunciation.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements in care of Fry-Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>My heart felt sympathy.\u00a0 God bless you all.<br \/>\nEdie Stephenson<\/p>\n<p>Our sincere sympathy at this difficult time.
