{"id":19320,"date":"2024-12-13T18:59:51","date_gmt":"2024-12-13T18:59:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=19320"},"modified":"2025-04-22T15:32:21","modified_gmt":"2025-04-22T15:32:21","slug":"vera-mae-anderson-davis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2024\/12\/13\/vera-mae-anderson-davis\/","title":{"rendered":"Vera Mae (Anderson) Davis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-19323\" src=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Vera-Davis.jpg\" alt=\"Vera Davis\n\" width=\"380\" height=\"485\" srcset=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Vera-Davis.jpg 400w, https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Vera-Davis-235x300.jpg 235w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 380px) 100vw, 380px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Vera Mae (Anderson) Davis, 94, of Excelsior Springs, passed away on December 13, 2024 after a long and fulfilling life.<\/p>\n<p>Vera was born on October 26, 1930, in Pleasant Valley, MO.\u00a0 She was the daughter of Robert Fulton and Beulah (Tipton) Anderson.\u00a0 She graduated from Liberty High School in 1948.\u00a0 After high school she worked briefly for AT&amp;T as a switchboard operator, then worked as a clerk typist for Mobil Oil for 10 years.\u00a0 She went on to work in Accounting at TWA for a 27-year career.\u00a0 While at TWA, she made lifelong friends and traveled the world having many unforgettable adventures.\u00a0 Upon retiring from TWA, Vera traveled extensively, as well as created stained glass treasures which she sold at craft shows for many years. Vera loved animals, especially her Pomeranians, Teddy Bear, Andy, Precious, Mitzie and Mickey.<\/p>\n<p>Vera married the love of her life, William &#8220;Bill&#8221; Davis in 1963.\u00a0 During their 36 years of marriage, they enjoyed life to the fullest, traveling whenever they would get the chance.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by 16 nieces and nephews,\u00a0 Alan (Susan) Pettet, Terri Sloan, Brad (Cheryl) Pettet, Brian Pettet, Bill and Joni Lance, George (Ellen) Lance, Gary Lance, Jeff Lance, Craig Lance, Peggy (Bob) Rebolledo, Mark (Becky) Presko, Nick (Kasie) Presko, Calen Anderson, Shannon Anderson and Kelly Anderson.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Davis; parents, Robert and Beulah Anderson; sisters, Betty Lance, Eileen Pettet, and Helen Kathleen Presko; brothers, Paul Anderson and Jack Anderson; and her nieces and nephews, Connie Pettet, Robert Pettet, Dale Pettet and Lisa Boley.<\/p>\n<p>A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Crown Hill Cemetery.
