October 29, 1959 \u2013 August 9, 2025<\/em><\/p>\n

Karen Rae Wielar, 65, of Holt, Missouri, passed away peacefully at 11:50 AM on August 9, 2025, in her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the people and things she loved most \u2014 her devoted husband, her sons, her daughter-in-law, her beloved dogs and cats, her vibrant garden, and a home filled with beautiful family memories.<\/p>\n

Born on October 29, 1959, in Manhattan, Kansas, Karen grew up with a heart full of creativity and a love for life that she carried into everything she did. On September 7, 1985, she married the love of her life, Thomas, and together they eventually landed in Holt, Missouri. There, they raised their two sons, Devin and Donald, cheered passionately for the Kansas City Chiefs, and welcomed friends and family with open arms, good food, and warm hospitality.<\/p>\n

Karen had an extraordinary gift for creating beauty. She was an avid gardener, lovingly tending to her flowers and vegetables \u2014 many of which she proudly sold at the local farmer\u2019s market alongside her one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry. Whether she was planting seeds, crafting unique designs, or sharing her creations, Karen\u2019s joy came from
\nmaking things grow and brightening the lives of others. Her generosity, kindness, and artistic spirit touched everyone she met, leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration.<\/p>\n

The world feels a little dimmer without her light, but her influence will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.<\/p>\n

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Neoma Rosalee Clark and George Raymond Clark.<\/p>\n

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Wielar; her sons, Devin Wielar and his wife Amandine of Joplin, MO, and Donald Wielar of Grand Junction, CO; her sisters, Brenda Thomson and her husband Walter of Thomasville,
\nGA, and Patricia vonSoosten and her husband Douglas of Wamego, KS; her brother, Steven Clark of Tecumseh, KS; and countless friends whose lives she enriched.<\/p>\n

In honor of her memory, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Her family will hold a Celebration of Life in the near future.<\/p>\n

Karen\u2019s life was one of love, creativity, and generosity \u2014 and her presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered.<\/p>\n
