Harris, age 84, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on November 15, 2025, at The Estoria Rehab Center in Liberty, MO, from complications related to Parkinson\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n<p>Dave was born on October 29, 1941, in Great Bend, Kansas. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Arts from Fort Hays State University. Throughout his life, Dave was deeply committed to his community. He played a key role in establishing the YMCA in Cameron, Missouri, and was an active member of The United Methodist Church, Rotary International, and the Cameron Golf Club. His hobbies included golfing, fishing, traveling, and supporting his Chiefs and Royals.<\/p>\n<p>Dave\u2019s career reflected his strong work ethic and adaptability. He began farming in western Kansas, an experience that opened the door to a position with Loomix Cattle Feed Supplement Company, which brought his family to Chillicothe, Missouri. Later, Dave transitioned to work with Churchill Trucking before continuing his professional journey at Edward Jones Investments. His dedication to both agriculture and business was a testament to his commitment to family and community.<\/p>\n<p>Dave was preceded in death by his parents and three older sisters.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry; his son, Greg and his wife, Gina Harris of Smithville, Missouri, along with their<br \/>\ndaughters, Jordan and Lauren; and his son, Tad and his wife, Kristin Harris of Ballwin, Missouri, with their children, Ashlen and Max.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cameron YMCA, honoring Dave\u2019s lifelong dedication to community and youth programs, or to the Cameron United Methodist Church.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements in care of Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>Dave was a good neighbor and friend at the Village Cooperative of the Northland.
