He grew up in Ridgeway and Cainsville, MO, graduating in 1958 from Ridgeway.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his spouse, Melba Jean Crouse from Lawson, MO. He was also preceded by a grandson, Zachary Watkins from Cameron, MO.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by a sister, Evelyn Osborn of Kansas City, MO; son, Philip Crouse and his wife, Brenda; granddaughter, Ashley Cox and her husband, Steve, of Newbury Park, CA; great grandsons, Caleb, Joshua and Gideon; granddaughter, Rachel Caron and her husband, Garrett, of Fayetteville, AR; grandson, Andrew Crouse and his wife, Taylor, from Prairie Village, KS; daughter, Robin Smith and her husband, Wade from Cameron, MO;\u00a0 granddaughter, CiJay Smith of St. Joseph, MO; grandson, Tyler Smith of Wichita, KS;\u00a0 son, Kevin Crouse from Plattsburg, MO; grandson, Jackson and granddaughter, Maggie.<\/p>\n<p>He was a Boy Scout Tribe of the Mic-O-Say.\u00a0 He attended Northwest Missouri State College, he served in the U.S. Army.\u00a0 During his career he worked for General Motors, Hesse Corporation, Brinks, Marion Laboratories and Crown Center in various roles.<\/p>\n<p>He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, traveling, spending time at his farm and getting various discounts. He enjoyed striking up conversations with strangers and had an infectious laugh. He was a member of United Methodist Church of Lawson.<\/p>\n<p>Services will be held Friday, January 2, 2026, at the United Methodist Church in Lawson.
