Earl was active in St. Ann Catholic Church for many decades and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.<\/p>\n<p>Earl had a long career in metal fabrication and enjoyed building, working on, and fixing just about anything (cars, tractors, houses, barns, appliances, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>Earl was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Bernadette Hurshman; his son, Timothy Hurshman; his father, Charles Hurshman; mother, Lillian Hurshman; and his siblings, Dorothy, Rex, and John Edward Hurshman.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his children, Deborah, Daniel, Michael, Martin, Matthew, and Mark Hurshman; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with other beloved family members and friends who will cherish his memory and carry forward his legacy.<\/p>\n<p>A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, 217 W Broadway, Excelsior Springs, Mo.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1503 Tracy Ave., Excelsior Springs, Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with burial following at Hillcrest Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"pdfprnt-buttons pdfprnt-buttons-post pdfprnt-bottom-right\"><a href=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/22469?print=print\" class=\"pdfprnt-button pdfprnt-button-print\" target=\"_blank\" ><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/pdf-print\/images\/print.png\" alt=\"image_print\" title=\"Print Content\" \/><\/a><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Earl Francis Hurshman, 94, of Excelsior Springs, passed away July 30, 2026, at Lawson Manor &amp; Rehab.
