Jeffrey Alan Love, 42, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away on August 13, 2026.<\/p>\n
Jeff lived his life exactly the way he wanted \u2014 boldly, freely, and rarely with both feet planted firmly on the ground.<\/p>\n
Jeff was born on October 13, 1983, in North Kansas City to Barbara and Jackie Love and grew up in Excelsior Springs, MO. From an early age, Jeff was always on the move. He was active in sports and spent much of his time running around with a loyal group of friends, usually finding an adventure \u2014 or making one of their own. If he wasn\u2019t out doing something, there was a good chance he was blasting rap music loud enough to make sure everyone else could hear it too, blowing more than a few speakers along the way.<\/p>\n
After graduating high school, Jeff attended Ozark Technical Community College in Springfield, MO, before continuing to do what came naturally to him \u2014 going places, trying new things, and collecting stories along the way. His adventures took him across the country and beyond, from California and Oregon to Mexico
\nand plenty of places in between. Staying in one place for too long was never really Jeff\u2019s style.<\/p>\n
Jeff had a restless, adventurous spirit and little interest in taking the safe or conventional route. He had a natural talent for art and a creative eye that showed up in many ways. He loved riding his four-wheeler, trips to the mountains, desert, and sand dunes, snowboarding, traveling, and just about anything that offered a little adrenaline or a good story afterward. He also had a gift for finding the newest piece of \u201cjunk,\u201d knowing exactly what it was worth, and explaining why everyone else clearly underestimated his latest find.<\/p>\n
Jeff was independent, spontaneous, loyal to his people, never quite on time, and stubborn as hell. Once his mind was made up, there wasn\u2019t much anyone could say to change it. He did things his way, pushed limits a little further than he probably should have, and remained unapologetically himself through it all \u2014 right
\nup until the very end.<\/p>\n
For all the places he went and things that caught his interest, his dogs always held a particularly important place in his life. Jeff was an animal lover through and through, and anyone who knew him knew how much his dogs meant to him.<\/p>\n
Jeff leaves behind his son, Daiton (Bree) Love; mother, Barbara Crew; father, Jackie Love Jr.; sister, Olivia (Derek) Rowe; and his dogs, Nipsy and Matata.<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Helen Crew, and paternal grandparents, Jack Love Sr. and Mary Love.<\/p>\n
A celebration of Jeff\u2019s life will be planned for a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been made.<\/p>\n
The best way to honor Jeff is to live a little more freely, take the adventure when it comes, and collect a few good stories along the way. In the words of one of his favorite quotes:<\/p>\n
