{"id":3344,"date":"2018-10-27T00:00:11","date_gmt":"2018-10-27T00:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=3344"},"modified":"2018-10-29T02:10:41","modified_gmt":"2018-10-29T02:10:41","slug":"gerald-leroy-alexander","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2018\/10\/27\/gerald-leroy-alexander\/","title":{"rendered":"Gerald Leroy Alexander"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3350 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/gerald_alexander.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"280\" height=\"460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/gerald_alexander.jpg 280w, https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/gerald_alexander-183x300.jpg 183w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 280px) 100vw, 280px\" \/>Gerald Leroy Alexander, 71, of Lawson, Mo., passed away at home on Wednesday, October 25, 2018.\u00a0 He was born November 16, 1946 to Elva Faye and Henry Alexander.\u00a0 On February 11, 2011, Gerald married his long-lost love, Alice Marie Alexander.\u00a0 Gerald was the most gentle, genuine, kind caring man that would give the shirt off his back.\u00a0 He loved gardening, church, music and spending time with his family and friends. \u00a0He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army, June 19, 1967 to March 8, 1969.\u00a0 His faith in God and the love for his family and friends will be missed forever in our hearts.<\/p>\n<p>He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Cpl. Tim Cates Jr.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife, Alice Marie Alexander.\u00a0 His children, Randy, Tim, Terri (Keith), Janice (Dennis), Robert (Carol), Richard (Michelle), and Marsha (Scott); grandchildren, Stephen (Andrea), Christopher, Lindsey, Tabitha, Casey, Michael, Billy, Joey, Connar and Coltan;\u00a0 great grandchildren, LillyAnn, Samual, Stephen and Daniel;\u00a0 one brother, Henry Alexander, and four sisters, Karen Glunt, Sharon Kincaid, Phyllis O\u2019Connell and Wanda Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial Services will be conducted from 10 to 11 a.m. for visitation and funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Bross &amp; Spidle Lawson Chapel, Lawson, Mo.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Wounded Warrior Project. Dinner following after at the church in Missouri City, Mo.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>My thoughts and prayers go out to the family in their time of sorrow.
