{"id":3431,"date":"2018-11-13T15:37:32","date_gmt":"2018-11-13T15:37:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=3431"},"modified":"2018-11-15T15:57:29","modified_gmt":"2018-11-15T15:57:29","slug":"gale-reid-cravens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2018\/11\/13\/gale-reid-cravens\/","title":{"rendered":"Gale Reid Cravens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3435 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/gale_cravens.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"402\" srcset=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/gale_cravens.jpg 300w, https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/gale_cravens-224x300.jpg 224w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Gale Reid Cravens, 70, Kansas City, Mo., passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the NorthCare Hospice House of North Kansas City Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Gale was born July 30, 1948 in Excelsior Springs, Mo., the son of Russell and Wilma Cravens.\u00a0 He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in Vietnam as an U.S. Army SP5 in Satellite Communications.<\/p>\n<p>Following his service time, he worked over 40 years with the U.S. Postal Service.\u00a0 He always liked discussing the latest news, sports and cars with friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>Gale was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Larry Cravens.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include a brother, Marc Cravens and wife, Debbie, of Smithville, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, along with cousins, aunts and uncles.<\/p>\n<p>To honor Gale\u2019s wishes, a memorial service will not be held.\u00a0 In lieu of flowers, please donate to a veteran charity.\u00a0 He will be buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs near his parents and brother.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>My heart goes out to his family. We were really great friends in the 60s. Done a lot of hanging out at the Robertson\u2019s and just driving around town.
