Kenneth A. “Pete” McBride, 77, of Kearney, Mo., went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2018.\u00a0 Born January 1, 1941 in Fulton, Kans., to Floyd McBride and Mabel Collins McBride, he and was the youngest of eight.<\/p>\n
In 1958, Kenneth graduated Fulton High School.\u00a0 He enlisted in the U.S. Army after High School. He served four years in Germany. He still has lifetime friends he made while serving his country.<\/p>\n
He married Donna Clayton October 7, 1962. They have three sons, Mitchell (Rita), Matthew (Marla) and Monte. They were married 56 years.<\/p>\n
Kenneth worked for Ford Motor Company for 43 years. \u00a0He started out on the assembly line then Supervisor and Chassis Launch Team Coordinator for three different automobiles.\u00a0 He traveled all over the world.<\/p>\n
He is survived by his wife, Donna of the home; his three sons and their wives; five grandchildren and one great grandson, Megan DeShazo (Lance), Kodi Webb, Colby McBride, Cullen McBride and Ridge McBride; as well as great grandson, Jaxon DeShazo.\u00a0 He is also survived by one sister- in-law, Beverly McBride, wife to Don, of Fort Scott, Kans.\u00a0 He is also survived by many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Wayne, Harold, Velma, and Dwight, Wilma, Leon, and Don; niece, Linda Andes; nephew, Gary McBride, David Crown and Dana Crown.<\/p>\n
Ken was an avid quail hunter and bass fisherman and loved his farm where he could grow tomatoes and sweet corn. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be held on Monday Nov. 19 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Community Covenant Church in Kearney, Mo.\u00a0 Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., also at the church. Graveside services will be held at the Timberhill Cemetary, 2275 105th<\/sup> St., Mapleton, KS at 3:00 p.m. after Memorial Service.<\/p>\n Donations can be made to Community Covenant Church, 1820 S.
