{"id":4156,"date":"2019-04-23T17:17:41","date_gmt":"2019-04-23T17:17:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=4156"},"modified":"2019-05-26T22:57:16","modified_gmt":"2019-05-26T22:57:16","slug":"doris-lee-logston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2019\/04\/23\/doris-lee-logston\/","title":{"rendered":"Doris Lee Logston"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Doris Lee Logston, 85, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>She was born on February 22, 1932 to Ralph and Dorothy (Palmer) Adams in Breckenridge, Mo. She married Jimmy Logston on August 29, 1952.<\/p>\n<p>Doris retired from the Clay County Collectors Office. Her #1 job was being the best wife, mother and grandmother to her family. Doris was a member of the Eastern Star and the First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her grandson, Curt Logston, parents and her sister, Margaret McCrary.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jim; four children, Jimmy (Patty), Timmy (Cathy), Susan (Tony) Marrali, and Ralph David; seven grandchildren, Chris, Angela (Ken), John, Michelle (Eric), Megan (Jayson), Chad and Amanda; and eight great grandchildren, Cole, Canyon, Josiah, Maylee, Averey, Emalyn, Reyd and Eleanor.<\/p>\n<p>A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Masonic Cemetery, Excelsior Springs. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs Prayer Shawl group.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements are in care of Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>My thoughts and prayers are with Jim and the Logston Family during this difficult time.<br \/>\nDavid Snider<\/p>\n<p>I am so saddened to hear of Doris&#8217;s passing. We had so much fun with her, Jim, and their kids back when we were young and they came to our house to play Canasta with my parents.
