\"\"Shirley Doris Mallory, 79, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away Friday, May 10, <\/sup>2019 at her home surrounded by loved ones.<\/p>\n

She leaves as her legacy one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and James Paul Gorham and one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Judy Mallory.\u00a0 She also leaves to cherish her memory five grandchildren, Jessica and Daniel Gorham and Chris, Adam and Stephanie Mallory; five great-grandchildren, Drake and Colton Gorham, Catalina and Noah Mallory, and Thomas Mallory; and one sibling, Earlene St. Clair.<\/p>\n

She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Mallory, and mother and stepfather, Eula and James Avery; husband, Delmer Mallory; sisters, Jackie Adkisson, Neta Anderson, Opal Hines and brother, Russell Mallory.<\/p>\n

Shirley held a variety of jobs over her lifetime and was always a hard worker.\u00a0 She was fun, spunky, sassy, stubborn and full of life and energy.\u00a0 Always on the go, she could often be found playing Texas Hold \u2018Em, BINGO, and\/or the slot machines.\u00a0 She also enjoyed the thrill of finding a good bargain at garage sales and reeling in her next big fish.\u00a0 In addition, Shirley loved visiting with friends and especially enjoyed cooking dinner for her family on holidays.<\/p>\n

Shirley was also a member of Union Baptist Church in Orrick, MO.<\/p>\n

Visitation will be Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, MO.<\/p>\n

The funeral service will be held Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, MO.\u00a0 Carol Cable will be officiating. \u00a0Burial will follow the funeral at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO.<\/p>\n
