{"id":4369,"date":"2019-06-02T16:15:52","date_gmt":"2019-06-02T16:15:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=4369"},"modified":"2024-07-27T20:19:31","modified_gmt":"2024-07-27T20:19:31","slug":"carlene-lewis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2019\/06\/02\/carlene-lewis\/","title":{"rendered":"Carlene Lewis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4375 alignright\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/carlene_lewis.jpg\" alt=\"Carlene Lewis\" width=\"241\" height=\"261\" \/>Carlene Lewis, 95, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., formerly of Lawson, Mo., died June 2, 2019 at Valley Manor Nursing Home.<\/p>\n<p>She was born September 2, 1923 in Leavenworth, Kans., to Carl and Rose Pohl, and was married to Lawrence (Pard) Lewis on December 20, 1941 in Kansas City, Kans.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence, one brother, three sisters, two granddaughters, and one daughter in law.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Don Lewis, Ron Lewis, Larry and Gloria Lewis, Steve and Diane Lewis, David and Opal Lewis; sister, Geraldine Scobee; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>She worked at Lawson schools as head cook, Whitaker Cable, and Excelsior Springs Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>She loved to play Bingo, spending time with her family, and will be greatly missed by all.<\/p>\n<p>A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home Lawson Chapel, followed by graveside services at Lawson Cemetery, Lawson, Mo.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>Ronnie and Donnie so sorry for your loss. I have many happy memories of her as &#8216;lunch lady&#8217; at school.<br \/>\nPard and Carlene were fixtures in Lawson and enriched the lives of all who knew them.
