Danny C. Kerns passed away on June 10, 2019 after a battle with Parkinson\u2019s. He was a retired funeral home director and embalmer. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Pat Kerns; his daughter, Vilma (Gustavo) Mendoza; his grandchildren, Lauren (Spencer) Wohlford, Mary Kate (Alex) Toler, Alexandra (Brandon) Griffith, Carlos (Veronica) Mendoza, and Rafael Mendoza; and his great-grandchildren, Lily and Ella Wohlford, Valerie Mendoza, Brandon, Julie, and Antonio Griffith, and Annabelle Mendoza.<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michaela Eddy, and his parents, Hugh and Garnet Kerns.<\/p>\n
The family will welcome friends at 9:30 a.m. on June 15, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church in Liberty. Celebration of mass will follow at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests contributions be considered to Liberty Meals on Wheels or the Liberty Hospital Treehouse.<\/p>\n

I am so sorry, Pat, to learn of Danny’s passing.\u00a0 We knew he has been heading that direction for many months, but that makes it no less hard for you to bear, or his family and many friends.\u00a0 You certainly gave your all to make his last days as good as possible.\u00a0 You two were blessed to find each other and enjoy sixty-some years of love and companionship!\u00a0 My condolences also to your granddaughters and their families and to the Mendoza family – their love and support is a tremendous asset.
