{"id":4532,"date":"2019-07-06T21:44:11","date_gmt":"2019-07-06T21:44:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=4532"},"modified":"2024-07-27T20:11:50","modified_gmt":"2024-07-27T20:11:50","slug":"marion-ray-odell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2019\/07\/06\/marion-ray-odell\/","title":{"rendered":"Marion Ray O\u2019Dell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4534 alignright\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/marion_odell.jpg\" alt=\"Marion Ray O\u2019Dell\" width=\"400\" height=\"329\" srcset=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/marion_odell.jpg 400w, https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/marion_odell-300x247.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/>Marion Ray O\u2019Dell of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away in his home on July 6, 2019.\u00a0 Marion was born in Excelsior Springs to Marion and Ruby (Siegel) O\u2019Dell on August 7, 1930.\u00a0 Marion graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1948 and married Elizabeth Jean Baker (Jean) of Plattsburg, Missouri, in 1951.\u00a0 Marion Ray always had such a heart for serving others and was best known for his work as owner and Funeral Director at Prichard Funeral Home until his retirement in 1988. \u00a0But his greatest love was Jean and his family.<\/p>\n<p>Marion Ray is survived by his wife, Jean; his sister, Donna Werle; his two children, Jean Ann and Jerry O\u2019Dell; Jerry\u2019s wife, Danelle; 10 grandchildren, David Pavlich, Dan Pavlich, Donnie Pavlich, Dana (Pavlich) Radmacher, Dennis Pavlich, Bret O\u2019Dell, Chase O\u2019Dell, Ty O\u2019Dell, Katy (Stimac) Boyd, and Julie (Stimac) Webb; 26 great-grandchildren; three nieces; and family friend, Kathy Stimac.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation and funeral services will be held at Barbee Memorial Presbyterian Church, Excelsior Springs.\u00a0 The visitation will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July, 12, 2019, and the funeral on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 10 a.m.\u00a0 A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery following.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements in care of Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>Our prayers are with the family at the time of loss in the family. He said, \u201cYes, we will go by McDonald\u2019s because they will be there having senior coffee.\u201d Of course, they were at the McDonald\u2019s. This is just one of many fond memories.
