He graduated from Butler High School in 1984.\u00a0 He received his degree from DeVry University.\u00a0\u00a0 He was a member of the Lawson United Methodist Church, Bee Hive Masonic Lodge No. 393 in Lawson, MO, Butler Masonic Lodge No. 254 in Butler, MO, and Scottish Rite.<\/p>\n<p>Monty moved to Kansas City in 1994 and worked for Sonic, Ferrellgas, and was currently employed at Cerner Corporation.\u00a0 In 2012 the family moved to Lawson.\u00a0 He often commented about how glad he was to be in Lawson. He loved the community and loved being a Lawson Cardinal.\u00a0 Once a Cardinal, Always a Cardinal.<\/p>\n<p>Monty was an avid sports fan.\u00a0 He attended Chiefs games for many years, but then decided watching from the comfort of home was a better choice!\u00a0 If the Chiefs, Royals, or Missouri Tigers were playing he was probably watching.\u00a0 His absolute favorite thing in the entire world was watching his kids play ball \u2013 baseball, softball, basketball, or volleyball \u2013 it didn\u2019t matter.\u00a0 He never missed a game and was always their #1 fan.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his father, Don Moore, in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Sarah, of the home; children, Katey and husband Tyler Gable, Garrett, Mary and Morgan Moore; granddaughter, Ellie Gable;\u00a0 mother, Donna Moore; sister, Janet (Jimmy) McCanles; mother and father-in-law, Roger and Susan Kohl; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.<\/p>\n<p>The family would like to thank Monty\u2019s friends and co-workers at Cerner for their support over the past year.\u00a0 Your kindness went above and beyond and will never be forgotten. We also want to thank the ladies at KU Cancer Center North and Kansas City Hospice.\u00a0 You are all angels on earth.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2019 at Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home Lawson Chapel, 214 N. Pennsylvania, Lawson, MO.\u00a0 A Masonic service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Lawson United Christian and Presbyterian Church, 305 East 4<sup>th<\/sup> Street, Lawson, MO.\u00a0 Graveside service 2 p.m., Saturday at Double Branch Cemetery, Butler, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions to the Mary and Morgan Moore Education fund c\/o Sarah Moore or a charity of choice.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements in care of Bross &amp; Spidle Lawson Chapel, Lawson.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>Sarah and family.
