Lawhon, 74, of Kansas City, MO., passed away January 11, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Lawhon was born September 9, 1945 in Chicago, IL.\u00a0 Terry was a Vietnam veteran.\u00a0 He worked most of his career in transportation.\u00a0 He enjoyed fishing.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pamela Lawhon; one sister and one brother.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, three sisters and one brother.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2020 with memorial service following at Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>I was Terry and Pam&#8217;s next door neighbor ever since they moved in on 76th Terrace.\u00a0 Terry was a great friend and neighbor.\u00a0 He had a big heart and was always offering to help you.\u00a0 He spoke often of his daughter, Jennifer and his numerous grandchildren.\u00a0 He loved his puppies (Minnie, Missy and Tinker) who were great companions.\u00a0 Tinker especially after Pam&#8217;s passing.\u00a0 We did some fishing, hours upon hours of talking and gossiping and drank beer (Coors was his favorite).\u00a0 I will miss watching him walk Tinker up and down the block from my upstairs office window.\u00a0 The world will be less without him.\u00a0 My wife, Debbie and I offer our condolences.<br \/>\nSteve Lorenzi<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer I am so sorry for the loss of your Father&#8230;my heart goes out to you and your family. I am thankful that your Father reached out after all these years past. Thank you for bringing him in to see me at my work. He became familiar with my Granddaughter from CVS and she spoke very highly of hm. Sad that we were not close in our younger years, guess we just became too busy in making our own paths in life.<br \/>\nLove to all your family,<br \/>\nSherry (Lawhon) Caskey<\/p>\n<p>Terry and I worked together for years at Jack Cooper Transports for years. He was a great co-worker and a great friend. He was a good man and husband and father. He was proud of his family.
