Jimmie Franzeskos, 75, of Rocky Mount, MO, passed away at KU Medical Center on Thursday, April 23, 2020 from heart failure. He was born on July 17, 1944 in Kansas City, MO, and graduated from Northeast High School. Jim married Carol Ann Forney on March 21, 1964 and they raised their four boys in Kearney, MO. The two later retired in Gold Canyon, AZ, where Carol passed. Jimmie then moved back to Missouri to reside at Lake of the Ozarks.<\/p>\n
Jim had a life-long love for cars and was the General Manager of several large dealerships before owning his own dealership, Sport Motors of Independence, MO, since the early 1980s. Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was adored by his grandchildren who called him \u201cPop\u201d.<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Catherine Franzeskos, and wife, Carol Ann Franzeskos.<\/p>\n
Jimmie is survived by two brothers, Johnnie (Courtney) Franzeskos and Steve Franzeskos. He leaves behind four sons, Vince Franzeskos of Flatonia, TX, James Franzeskos of Holt, MO, Dannie Franzeskos of Hamilton, MO, and Nick Franzeskos of Kearney, MO; five grandchildren, Cody Franzeskos, Ben Franzeskos, Halli (Javier) Solis, Brooke Franzeskos, and SherryAnn Franzeskos; and three great-grandchildren, Koltyn, Marley Jo, and Easton.<\/p>\n
Due to the current social distancing guidelines, a private service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Burial at Fairview Cemetery, Kearney, MO.<\/p>\n

My love and prayers go out to all\u00a0 of the family of Jim and Carol as you go through this difficult time in your lives.\u00a0 Carol and I were childhood friends and continued our friendship while both of us were raising our families in KC.\u00a0 You four boys were cute as could be and full of energy.\u00a0 I marveled at Carol keeping up with you.\u00a0 Your parents were young when they married as was my Jim and I but it worked for both of us.\u00a0 \u00a0Wish we could be at the memorial service.\u00a0 Warm and caring thoughts from Carla and Jim Mutti.<\/p>\n
We were so sorry to hear of Jim\u2019s passing. We both really enjoyed our long term friendship. When we lived in SD, your whole family would come and visit us in your RV. We had so much fun with all of you. We remember Nick sitting in our kitchen in a high chair.\u00a0 You boys had 2 wonderful parents and we loved them both too.
