Crapson of Excelsior Springs passed away June 6, 2020 at the age of 93 at her home surrounded by her family.<\/p>\n<p>Gladys was born in Norwich, Kans., to Floyd and Othel See on August 1, 1926. As a child her family were migrant workers and went to several different farms to help with the harvest.<\/p>\n<p>On January 21, 1946 she was married to Gene Crapson, whom later divorced. From this union they welcomed three children, Elizabeth &#8220;Ann&#8221;, Carolyn &#8220;Marie&#8221; and Ernest &#8220;Dwayne&#8221;. She was also Mom, Grandma and Granny to several others who knew her.<\/p>\n<p>She loved to quilt. She has several quilts in other parts of the world.\u00a0 You would walk in to see her sitting in her chair quilting away.\u00a0 She made quilts for several people in the area, as well, several for her family.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Francis See, Loren See, Dale See and Curly See; one sister, Pauline Chaney; daughter, Ann McRorey; grandson, Jason McRorey; and great-grandson, Jack Christopher McRorey.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by son, Dwayne Crapson (Michelle) of the home; daughter, Marie Rose of Excelsior Springs;\u00a0 granddaughter, Susan Harris (Clint) of rural Orrick;\u00a0 grandson, Christopher McRorey (Jill) of Liberty;\u00a0 grandson, Sean Rose (Katie) of Liberty; seven great-grandchilden, Amanda Simmons (Jason), Brandon Harris, Courtney Harris, Lily McRorey, Morgan McRorey, Colby McRorey and Beau Chappel;\u00a0 two great-great grandchildren, Ella and Jensen, with one more due in January.<\/p>\n<p>In the 1980&#8217;s she owned and operated the Jct. Cafe in Lawson, Mo., where she met many friends who to this day still call her their friend. She also worked as a cashier at the Mill Inn where she knew everyone. Because of this going to the store with her lasted all day. She always spoke with everyone. She was loved by many.<\/p>\n<p>There will be no services at this time.
