{"id":6810,"date":"2020-07-19T00:15:12","date_gmt":"2020-07-19T00:15:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/?p=6810"},"modified":"2024-07-26T22:20:15","modified_gmt":"2024-07-26T22:20:15","slug":"charles-curtis-reine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/index.php\/2020\/07\/19\/charles-curtis-reine\/","title":{"rendered":"Charles Curtis Reine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6811 alignright\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/charles-reine.jpg\" alt=\"Charles Curtis Reine\" width=\"320\" height=\"387\" srcset=\"https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/charles-reine.jpg 320w, https:\/\/brossspidlemonuments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/charles-reine-248x300.jpg 248w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/>Charles Curtis Reine, 87, Kearney, Mo., passed away July 19, 2020 at Liberty Hospital after a short illness.<\/p>\n<p>Charles was born October 25, 1932 in Bay Minette, Ala., to Joseph L. and Carlotta Wiggins Reine.\u00a0 He spent his childhood in Sedalia, Mo., farming with his dad on Wood Dale Ranch.\u00a0 He graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1950, he attended University of Missouri graduating with a B.S. in agriculture.\u00a0 Charles worked as an accredited farm manager. He also owned several other businesses. Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran.\u00a0 On August 19, 1956, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Bridges Reine.<\/p>\n<p>Charles loved to do volunteer work.\u00a0 Served as a SCORE mentor, delivered Meals on Wheels, and picked up children in trouble for the National Safe Place.\u00a0 He was a member of the Warsaw Christian Church and an active member of Lincoln, Mo. VFW Post # 5925.\u00a0 His hobbies included boating, fishing, and woodworking.\u00a0 He enjoyed building many bird houses and feeders that he gave to friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jody Reine; and a son, Ronald C. Reine.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; daughter, Brenda and husband, Vernon Lovelady; son, Douglas and wife, Teri Reine; six grandchildren, Tamika Reine-Washington, \u00a0Byranna Reine, Rick Lovelady, Daniel Lovelady, Dr. Ben Reine and Beth Johnson; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Delta Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Charles was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be sadly missed. A special thanks to Liberty Hospital Hospice for their loving care.\u00a0 Also, thanks to the Veterans Administration service for their caring support through the years. Donations can be made to the Lincoln, Mo. VFW.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., Thursday, July 23, 2020 with service following at Fry-Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, 208 S. Jefferson, Kearney,\u00a0 MO. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 23 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, Mo.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>On behalf of the Pettis County Historical Society, I would like to send condolences to Mary Ann and the Reine Family on Charles&#8217; passing.
