Born and raised in Excelsior Springs, graduated in 1954, she worked as a nurse for several physicians in town.\u00a0 She retired with the love of her life down at the Lake of the Ozarks. She was an avid Chiefs fan. She was a Sunday school teacher at Rockfalls Baptist Church. She loved her church family as much as she did her own family.\u00a0 She saw all the good in a world of evil.<\/p>\n
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and a sister-in-law.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her husband, Ron; brother, Bobby (Wanda) Wilson; sister-in-law, Julie Casteel;\u00a0 her children, Leigh Ann (Doug) Blevins, Terri (Troy) Uptergrove, Janice (Bill) Frost, Donna (Korey) Manley, Jennifer Carder, Jan (Mike) Harper, Joy (Ben) Hicks, Jimmy (Trish) Callaway, Jay (Shannon) Morse, Jeannie Callaway and Jill Morse; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two blessings to come.<\/p>\n
Due to Covid, Inez will be in-state Friday, November 13, 2020 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs for friends viewing.\u00a0 Graveside services will take place at Masonic Cemetery, Excelsior Springs.\u00a0 In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.<\/p>\n
Tim and I are sorry to hear of grandma Inez passing. May she and all the faithful departed rest in peace. Inez was so sweet and kind, so pleasant to be around. I feel blessed that I got to visit with her by phone the day before her passing. She will be missed by so many that loved her. Prayers and hugs to her wonderful family. A great person in Excelsior. I\u2019ll always remember her. My kids remember her from Dr. Allen\u2019s office.\u00a0 A super lady. She will be greatly missed. From our family to yours, our heartfelt condolences for the loss of such a wonderful lady. Inez shined a light into every room she entered and brightened the days of those of us blessed enough to know her.\u00a0 I will never forget her kindness and hospitality when I needed it most. I\u2019m am at a loss for words She was truly a beautiful woman inside & out. Always a shining light on a dark day. She will be truly missed by everyone. A very nice lady, she will be missed. We are so sorry for your lost — what a shock.\u00a0 Inez was a loving and caring person, full of life, always ready to help.\u00a0 She has now joined that big card table sitting with Marie and Evert And Vern and Naomi — God has added another angel to his flock, Inez was a wonderful person years ago they lived around the corner from us. She will be truley missed. PRAYERS for all. I cherish the good times we had and learned so much from Inez.\u00a0 She was our maid of honor when we married in 1991. The love she shared with me and my Randy (died 4\/15\/2020) is more than words can express.\u00a0 She is a bright star in my life.\u00a0 I will miss her.\u00a0 Thank you for welcoming me into the life of a\u00a0 wonderful and loved lady willing to give her all to make others happy. I always looked forward to seeing Inez at church.\u00a0 She was always so nice and welcoming.\u00a0 She will be missed greatly. Inez, I\u2019ll see you in Heaven!! So glad we got to reconnect after many years. I just saw this today,\u00a0 I am so sorry to hear this.\u00a0 She was such a wonderful woman.\u00a0 I know you have lots of memories to comfort you.\u00a0 She will watch over you until you meet again. So sorry to hear this sad news. Inez was a wonderful nurse and always had a smile and so friendly. She was loved by many and will be missed. RIP Inez and prayers for family.
