After High School, Ron, went on to serve in the Navy for 4 years in Southern California where he met the love of his life, Marlene (Rock) Welch and they married on February 22, 1958.\u00a0 Ron and Marlene then returned to Missouri, with their three children, in the early 1970\u2019s.\u00a0 There they built a beautiful home and farm to continuing raising their family.\u00a0 Ron worked as a General Foreman at General Motors until his retirement in 1992.\u00a0 Ron was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lawson.\u00a0 Ron and Marlene enjoyed their days with their family and camping.<\/p>\n<p>Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill, Herbert, and Edward Welch; a sister, Marjorie (Welch) Williams; and his granddaughter, Corinne Welch.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include his loving wife, Marlene (Rock) Welch, of the home; his children, Janice (Bill) Dunwoodie, Rayville, Ronald Welch Jr., Rayville, and Pete (Donna) Welch, Lawson;\u00a0 his grandchildren, Kristy Payne (Matt), Kathy (Sam Scott) Welch-Scott, Gregory Dunwoodie, Clint Welch, Jarred (Stephanie) Welch, Janie Welch (Jeremy); and his great-grandchildren, Kaylee Payne, Mesa Welch, Calvin Dunwoodie, Emma Welch, Lillian Scott, Callan Earnest, Hazel Henke, and Ruby Welch.<\/p>\n<p>The family will be having a private service in the home, at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements in care of Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>I Am Absolutely Going To Miss Seeing You Face To Face My Uncle Ronnie (aka) The Duke! I Always Knew You LOVED ME&#8230; For That I am FOREVER Grateful To You Both! You Both had So Much Love For US kids. I Always Felt Your Love When WE Would Come Together! The Welch Men Always Lead By Example and You Knew Exactly Where You Stood with them ALL! Your LOVE for US As Your Family was One of A Kind! You Both Were Always Welcoming When I Came To Missouri. You Always Made Me Feel Like One Of Your Kids! That is PRICELESS TO ME!!!! I Will Cherish Every Moment and Memory WE ALL Have Shared Together!!!<br \/>\nYou Uncle Ronnie were the last of the mohicans of the Welch Tribe! I felt like as long as You were still around a part of my daddy was with me!!! It\u2019s breaks my heart to hear that you stepped on over to the other side!!! I know the Day You Arrived In Heaven Was A Day Of Celebration! The Welch Family Was Together Again ALL In One Place! You ALL Had A Great Reunion Together Again!!! In That Can Give US Peace&#8230; Until WE See You Again Face To Face You Uncle Ronnie YOU Will Be Greatly Missed!!!
