At an early age, his family relocated to Henrietta, Missouri, where he eventually attended and graduated from Richmond High School. Art worked at the Board of Public Utilities for 26 years and retired in 1997. On July 29, 1960, he married Sharron Douglas, from Lexington, Missouri. They raised three children \u2013 Julie, Nan, and David.<\/p>\n<p>On February 25, 2016, Art married Anita Blankenship from Independence, Missouri. Art and Anita shared a music ministry together. They made Richmond, Missouri their permanent residency.<\/p>\n<p>Art loved the Lord and reflected that love through his passion for music. He was involved in several bands \u2013 The Joybells, Gospel Echos, Odessa Jubilee, Country Classics, Music Makers, God Squad, Prairie Praise, and was a member of the Country Gospel Music Association \u2013 he traveled to numerous churches and other venues to spread God\u2019s word. His music, compassion, and humor touched so many lives, especially his family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>Art was preceded in death by his mother, father, and 13 siblings.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife, three children, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>A \u201cCelebration of Life\u201d public service will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021, 3 p.m. CST, at Richmond Missouri\u2019s Assembly of God Church, 303 S. College St., Richmond, MO 64085. Face masks and social distancing will be required. The service will be Live Streamed for those unable to attend, by visiting <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/m.facebook.com\/richmondmoag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/m.facebook.com\/richmondmoag<\/a><\/strong>. The family suggest memorial contributions to be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation at 1250 Fourth St., Santa Monica, CA 90401, or can be sent to the family at P.O.
