On July 30, 2021, a beautiful and gentle man took the first steps on the trail of his forefathers, always following the western sun. James was born to William “Bill” and Nellie (St. John) Swope on May 1, 1941.<\/p>\n

James leaves behind his wife of 60+ years, Patricia, and three children, Steve Swope and wife Donna of Lawson, Missouri, daughter Amy and husband Dan Huffman of Osawatomie, Kansas, and Andra and husband Norman Jr. Kuhl of Halfway, Missouri. James had seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n

James did not leave fancy castles or mountains of gold to remember him by, but all of his children knew with certainty of his unconditional love and support in everything they wanted to achieve.<\/p>\n
