Michael Henry was born April 19, 1968 to Garland and Florence Henry in Trenton, Michigan, six minutes before his twin sister, Patricia Schulze. They are the youngest of the six children having grown up in Taylor, Michigan. After moving to Brooklyn, Michigan, Michael met and married his wife, Lisa (Crownover) on May 20, 1989.\u00a0 During the 32 years of their blessed marriage God gave them six children on earth and one in heaven.<\/p>\n
Michael and Lisa graduated together from Columbia Central high school and Michael gained a bachelor\u2019s degree in Welding Engineering from Ferris State University. Michael later received his MBA.\u00a0 Having spent the majority of his career in the automotive field, they moved their family from Michigan and eventually arrived in Missouri.<\/p>\n
To say Michael was active in his church would be an understatement. He was a man of faith and lived his life to glorify Jesus. He always stated the importance of family and always put his family first above his own needs. He was a provider and out of love for his family worked long hours and long days for decades. Providing not only for his family\u2019s needs, but also for his family\u2019s wants. He exemplified a work ethic that was passed down to his kids. He was a kind, selfless, and God loving man. He was never shy to reach out a helping hand to a neighbor or a stranger. He was a husband to his only wife and best friend, Lisa, and made it his lifelong goal to keep her smiling and happy. He was a loving father who celebrated his children\u2019s victories and hugged them during their tribulations, all while teaching them to live their life for their Lord, Jesus Christ. He was a grandfather to one current and many future grandkids to come.<\/p>\n
Michael enjoyed fishing, playing pool, getting deals on marketplace, watching superhero movies, taking Lisa on dates, vacationing with the whole family, and playing practical jokes.<\/p>\n
He is survived by his wife, Lisa; children, Troy (Serena) Henry, Nicholas Henry, Sarah (Josiah) Pomeroy, Anna Henry, John Henry, and Jacob Henry; and beloved grandson, Titus Henry. He is also survived by his siblings, Charles Henry, Candace Deault, Barbara Caudill, Melody Czapski, and Patricia Schulze.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be held 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Lawson Baptist Church, with Celebration of Life service immediately following. You would often find Michael wearing one of his numerous Hawaiian shirts making everyone around him smile and laugh, please feel free to wear a Hawaiian shirt in his honor.<\/p>\n

I have fond memories working with Michael at FMC in Houston. He taught me a lot about the welding processes we used on our drilling equipment which made me a better engineer. He had the patience of Job when trying to explain the limitations or problems with some of our crazy ideas we came up with to meet customer requests. I remember him as always being very kind, quick with a joke, his love of Hawaiian shirt Fridays, and how much he loved talking about his family and how proud he was of you. I pray that in Christ’s loving arms, there is enough strength to carry you, grace to keep you strong, and more than enough love and comfort to carry you through this time.

Mike was a guy that had a lot of personality. I worked with Mike at his employer at the time of his passing. He always had a smile of his face and never let bad days at work bring him down. To his family at this time I would like to say he was a good man and would do anything for someone if they needed it. He will be missed by his peers and by me.

We were introduced to the Henry’s when they were in Spring, TX by my nephew.\u00a0 Mike made us feel very welcome in their house.\u00a0 We saw them again in 2016 when my great niece married his oldest son, Troy.\u00a0 Then we saw them again in May 2021 when my great nephew married his oldest daughter, Sarah.\u00a0 He will definitely be missed by all his loved ones and friends.\u00a0 We love their family and will miss him deeply.
