She was born November 26, 1954 in Mount Ayr, Iowa, to Aubrey Conn &#8220;AC&#8221; and Mary Bea (King) Wilkinson. She was a graduate of South Harrison High School in Bethany, Missouri.<\/p>\n<p>She married her high school sweetheart, Richard (Rick) Allen Thomas on December 29,1972 at Bethany United Methodist Church.\u00a0 They lived together in St. Joseph, Mo., before relocating to Lawson, Mo., where they stayed to raise their children.<\/p>\n<p>Connie is survived by her husband,\u00a0Rick Thomas of the home; and two children, Josh (Lisa) Thomas, of Lawson, and Emily (Jamie) Haines, of Lee\u2019s Summit. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Abby, Grant, Kale (Thomas) and Jamison (Haines); her mother, Mary Wilkinson, of Grant City; a sister, Jane (Randall) Baker of Allendale, Mo.; and a brother, Scott Wilkinson, also of Allendale.<\/p>\n<p>Connie is preceded in death by her father, Aubrey &#8220;AC&#8221; Wilkinson, and a sister, Mary Beth Wilkinson.<\/p>\n<p>Connie worked for 38 years at Hunt Midwest Enterprises before retiring in 2018. She was also a member of the Lawson United Methodist Church and she was a member of the Circle of Friends sorority. Connie enjoyed playing golf with Rick, watching her grandkids in their various activities and was an avid Chiefs fan.<\/p>\n<p><em>You gave me life to live as I please. You gave me love and support to follow my dreams. Your beauty lives forever deep in my soul, the memory of your love fills my heart and I am never alone.<\/em> by Christine Currah<\/p>\n<p>Please join us to celebrate her life Saturday, September 18, 2021.\u00a0 Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. with a service following at the United Methodist Church in Lawson, Mo. We grew up together over the span of the last 40 years or so. Such a kind positive person, always there if someone needed a helping hand. I will miss her laugh and sense of humor.
