Irwin Jr. went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2021. Bob was born on December 7, 1944 in La Junta, Colo., to Robert Irwin Sr. and Doris (Baldwin) Irwin. Bob grew up in Ludlow, Mo., and graduated from Lee\u2019s Summit High School.<\/p>\n<p>He began his career at Hallmark Cards in 1965 where he met the love of his life, Carolyn. They were married on October 15,1966. Bob joined the Army in January 1966 and served his country in Vietnam as a flight engineer on Chinook helicopters. Upon his return from the service he continued his career with Hallmark Cards using his creative talents for 37 years, retiring in 2002.<\/p>\n<p>Bob was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Kearney. He was the quintessential servant, dedicated to serve his Lord anywhere there was a need. He lovingly accepted the various roles the Lord gave him as deacon and Upward basketball coach. Bob considered his role as husband and father the most important in his life and was very proud of all his family. Bob enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. FAITH, FAMILY, and FRIENDS were his life.<\/p>\n<p>Bob is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 55 years; sons, Jeff (Barbara), Jason, and Jared (Esther); and daughter, Janet (Greg). They were blessed with grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan, Elle, Noah, Sarah, Phillip, Brett, Rashelle, Truman, and Evelyn. He is also survived by twin sister, Sandra Mason (Robert), Bill Nease (Judy), Patty Arnold, Kathy Jadlow, Mary Lochiano (Tony), Susan Ackmann, George Nease, and many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Services will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Kearney with visitation at 9:30 a.m., and funeral at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service immediately following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kearney.<\/p>\n<p>Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.legacy.com\/funeral-homes. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in his memory to First Baptist Church of Kearney.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements in care of Fry-Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #efdbd9; padding: 1em;\">\n<h5>Our Sincere Condolences<\/h5>\n<p>We are so sad to learn of Bob&#8217;s death. I was deeply saddened to hear of his abrupt passing. Bob had a strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and now is at peace in His arms. For Carolyn, I know the pain you have at this time, I&#8217;ve been through it, but I know that you are strong and will get through this tragic time.
