Andrea Beth Bates
Andrea Beth Bates, 31, of Lawson, Mo., passed away September 7, 2012 at Liberty Hospital after a battle with leukemia. Andrea was born in Excelsior Springs, Mo., on May 16, 1981 the daughter of Bill and Diane Scobee Matthews. She grew up in Lawson, Mo., graduating from Lawson High School in 1999. She was united in marriage to Robert Bates on August 18, 2007. She worked Northland OBGYN as an LPN before her illness.
She leaves behind her parents; husband; sons, Devon Shelton and Logan Bates; brothers, Brian Matthews, Bradley Matthews, and Curtis Taylor; sisters, Hillary Louise Matthews and Mechele Smith; grandmother, Leota Scobee; and numerous friends and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the First Christian Church of Lathrop.
