Audrey J. Lee
Audrey J. Lee, 90, of Holt, Mo., passed away March 8, 2016 in Excelsior Springs, Mo.
Audrey was born November 12, 1925 in Steubenville, Ohio, to Thomas and Edna (Drumm) Smith. Audrey married Richard E. Lee. After their divorce, Audrey worked as a nurse’s aide, in a dentist office, and other odd jobs. It was always Audrey’s dream to live in Florida, and that finally happened. Her dream came true.
Audrey lived in Florida for over 20 years. It was in Florida, that she met Larry Flynn. They spent many happy hours dancing at the American Legion and becoming friends with the American Legion Bikers Club. Audrey also enjoyed crafts and decorating for the holidays.
Audrey is preceded in death by her daughter, Lucinda Lee.
She is survived by her children, Patricia and Stephen Miller of Holt, Mo., Richard and Cathy Lee of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kenneth Lee of Canton, Ohio; grandchildren, James R. and Janice Dorosky of East Canton, Ohio, Heather and Russell Cooley of Jacksonville, Fla., Stacy and Peter Davies of Queen Creek, Ariz., Rick Lee of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jason and Jennifer Humes of Gilbert, Ariz.; great grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Dorosky and fiancé Jimmy Mottice, Ashley and Brittney Forrest, Brittanie, Alyssa, Zachary, and Cole Davies, and Nathan Humes; and one great-great grandchild, Ava Marie Forrest. She is also survived by her dear friend, Larry Flynn of Jacksonville, Fla.
Cremation. No services are planned at this time. Donations in Audrey’s name may be made to Excelsior Springs Convalescent Center, 1700 Rainbow Blvd., Excelsior Springs, MO 64024.
