Arthur Ray Long
Arthur Ray Long, 68, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away August 17, 2016.
Arthur was born February 12, 1948 in Clay County, Mo., to Edwin Lewis and Velma (Dyer) Long. He was an automotive mechanic and loved working on Hot Rods and his scooter. He enjoyed the outdoors from the mountains in Colorado to the Current River, hunting and mushroom hunting.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Clydie Long; and a brother, Buster Long.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennie (Kyle) Reffitt; son, Jerry (Amanda) Long; granddaughter, Bethany Long; grandson, Timothy Kennedy; great-granddaughter, Sophia K. Kennedy; brothers, Don and Wayne Long; and a sister, Sharon Marrant.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kans.
