Alice Adeline Martin
Alice Martin, 99, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away August 20, 2015 at the Excelsior Springs Convalescent Center.
Alice was born May 24, 1916 to Leonard C. and Kathleen Hoff Olenhouse in Eversonville, Mo. She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. Alice had lived in Excelsior Springs since 1952. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs and P.E.O. Sisterhood. Alice helped her husband, David, with their insurance agency.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Arthur Martin; son, David Cramer Martin; and brother, Gilbert Olenhouse.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ann and husband, John Miller, Judy and husband, Kenneth C. George; daughter-in-law, Susan Martin; grandchildren, Stephen George, Jan Miller Stoffer, Lyn Miller Matejczyk, David M. Martin, Anne Martin Rajotte, John R. Martin; 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs, with service immediately following. Burial in Masonic Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Church, Excelsior Springs Museum or Cottey College.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
