Anna Means
Anna E. Means, 87, Excelsior Springs, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Shirkey Nursing & Rehab in Richmond, Mo. Ms. Means was born Oct. 2, 1923, the daughter of Frank And Annie Hensen. She was a member of Barbee Memorial Presbyterian Church, First Baptist Church of Excelsior Springs and Mosby and Prathersville churches. She retired from Hallmark Cards in Liberty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Eldon Means; seven sisters; and one brother. Survivors include her son, John Means, Excelsior Springs; two grandchildren, Chad Means, McLean, Va., and Craig Means, Wood Heights; one great-granddaughter; and one stepgreat-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs; burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kearney. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 5430 NW 33rd Ave., Ste. 106, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33309.
