Alva Byron Wright
Alva Byron Wright, 84, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away April 30, 2015 at Liberty Hospital.
Alva was born December 25, 1930 to Frank and Ada (Russell) Wright at the home in Weston, Mo. Alva was an Army Veteran, member of the Excelsior Springs VFW, Masonic Lodge, and Eastern Star. He retired from Fleming Foods.
Alva was preceded in death by his parents; 12 siblings; wives, Bertha and Betty Jean; daughters, Patricia Flanagan, Sandra McCoy, and Tammy Ware; and two great granddaughters.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl and husband, Stephen Boos, Terry and wife, Cheryl Wright, Ronnie Rouse, Jim McCoy, Gary Rouse, Debbie Boyle, and Bobby Ware; grandchildren, Richard Baker, Shawn (Wendy) Baker, Ronnie (Angie) Rouse, Randy Rouse, Kaleb Flanagan, Jennifer (Patrick) Raney, Terra (Ryan) Cogan, Samantha Wright, Misty (Gary) Wright, Scott (Wendy) McCoy, Michelle (Ryan) Pitts, Rhonda (Chris) Edwards; several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2015 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, with Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2015, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Masonic Lodge or Eastern Star.
