Bernie Gene Baker
Bernie Gene Baker, 78, of Kearney, Mo., passed away September 27, 2015 and went home to be with the Lord.
Gene was born July 7, 1937 in Holt, Mo., the son of Jack and Maudie Mitchum Baker. He attended Humansville High School. He was a Shelter Insurance agent in Kearney for 40 years. Gene loved old cars, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also loved to share the word of the Lord with people.
Gene is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lora, of the home; daughter, Tamara Baker of the home; his mother, Maudie Baker; sister, Jackie Baker; brother, Wayne Baker; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, and his son, Ron.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2015, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney, Mo. Services will be Friday, October 2, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
