Betty L. Conley
Betty L. Conley, 92, of Lawson, Mo. passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Excelsior Springs Nursing Home.
Betty and her late husband, Daniel Conley, were married for 74 years. Together they had four children, June McCulley and husband, Don, Everett “Bud” Conley and wife, Ann, Gladys “Pat” Harmon, and Arlene McCorkle.
Betty was very proud of her 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren and two more on the way. Betty is also survived by one sister, Myra Mae Chisom. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Conley; parents, Amny and Estle Swan; three sisters, Wanda Fay Swan, Fern Reynolds, Nellie Reynolds; one brother, Donald Swan; and one son-in-law, Bob Harmon. Besides being a housewife and feeding farm hands, Betty also worked at the Roosterville Store, National Bellas Hess, Liberty High School lunchroom and Jack Wymore’s Café.
Visitation for Betty will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Mo. Funeral services will be Monday, March 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial at the Missouri City Cemetery in Missouri City, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the Missouri City Cemetery Fund or to North Care Hospice.
