Robert Eugene Whitacre Jr.
Robert "Bob" Eugene Whitacre Jr., 61, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016.
Bob was born January 27, 1954 to Robert Eugene and Eloise Joan (Romstedt) Whitacre Sr. in Ottawa, Kans. Bob was a man who loved buying and selling things. He was known to love to “wheel and deal”. Bob had also worked at Skates Roller Rink for 20 years. He worked at the front desk and loved helping the kids. He also loved being outside. He and his life partner, Lora, spent many hours fishing and just enjoying being outside.
Bob is survived by his life partner, Lora Jo Kingery; brothers, Steven Whitacre and Thomas and Anna Whitacre; and niece Nicole Whitacre.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo. It was Bob’s request that there be no flowers or donations.
