Charles Thomas Kueck
Charles "Charlie" Thomas Kueck, son of Emil August Kueck and Myrtle May Hedgpeth, was born on November 5, 1932 in Independence, Mo. He died on November 19, 2014 in Kansas City, Kans., at KU Medical Center.
Charles Thomas Kueck graduated on June 10, 1949 in Kansas City, Mo., from Northeast High School. He married Shirley Ann Perriman on February 5, 1953 in Independence, Mo., at Messiah Lutheran Church, the same church where he was baptized and confirmed. He was employed as a supervisor of production planning for Sheffield Steel, later Armco Steel, in 1959 in Kansas City, Mo. When he retired from there he was employed as a bus driver for the Kearney school system.
He graduated in May 1966 in Kansas City, Mo., with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rockhurst College. He lived in Kearney, Mo., on September 15, 2014 (1800 Sunset Drive). He lived in Blue Springs, Mo., on September 16, 2014 (414 Woods Chapel Road). He was affiliated with the Trinity Lutheran Church in Kearney and had served as Treasurer and Elder.
His military background included Bet. 1953-1955 in Kansas City, Jackson, Mo., USA (Korean War, U.S. Army, Sergeant).
Preceding him in death were his parents, and brother, Earl Kueck, all from Independence, Mo.
Surviving him is his wife, Shirley; daughters, Sharon Wallen and husband, Jerry, Garden City, Mo., Lori Clark, Blue Springs, Mo., and Terri Chlapek and husband, Ben, Liberty, Mo.; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Louise Ransier, Independence, Mo., and Linda Needles, Alaska.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kearney, Mo. Services will be Monday, November 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Kearney.
