Colleen René Maidment
Colleen René Maidment, 42, Platte City, M0., passed away October 2, 2016.
Colleen was born November 9, 1973, to Bob and Vicki Mordue Bolin. She graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1992 and Park College with a Bachelors in Elementary Education in 1997.
Colleen will be forever remembered as a wonderful and loving mother, partner, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. All those who know her well, knew her as a loving, giving, honest, hardworking, fun loving, special young woman. All of us are privileged to have shared our lives with her, whether from birth, growing up, or a special time on Lake Michigan. She left us way too soon, and we look forward to that glorious day when we will see her again.
She leaves behind her life partner of 15 years, Mike Moriarty; 13 year old twin daughters, Macy and Maia; her parents, Bob and Vicki Mordue Bolin; grandmother, Ruth Mordue; sisters, Diedre (Octavius) Morris and Lisa Eller; nephew, Brennen Eller Bolin; uncle, Rich (Susan) Mordue; and many friends and extended family.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2016, followed by a celebration of life service, at Excelsior Springs First United Methodist Church, private inurnment at a later date. The family suggest donations be made to the GoFundMe page listed under her name, directly to the family, or to the cancer charity of choice.
Arrangements are through Bross Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
