Curtis Dale Quinn
December 21, 1960 - January 24, 2014
Curtis Dale Quinn, age 53, passed away due to lung cancer and heart disease January 24, 2014, while residing in Manila, Philippines.
Curtis spent several years serving in the U.S. Army, and retired as a Specialist E5. He will be greatly missed and will remain in the hearts of family and friends. He will especially be remembered for his many talents as an avid song writer, singer, and guitarist, his smile and his quick wit.
He leaves his wife, Tes Rogue-Quinn; mother, Carol Richardson of Chillicothe, Mo.; father, Edgar “Bud” R. Quinn and wife, Fran, of Kearney, Mo.; son, Bryan Dale Quinn, serving in the U.S. Army, and wife, Stephanie and daughters, Lily and Brooke, of Columbus, Ga.; brother, Charles Allen Quinn and wife, Wendy of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; Allen’s son, Kyle Reynolds Quinn, serving in the U.S. Army; half brothers, Jon David Quinn and wife, Shari, and daughter, Megan of Kansas City, Mo., and David Charles Wright and wife, Jennifer, and children, Marilyn and Winston of Kansas City, Mo.
Preceding him in death were paternal grandparents, Robert and Clara Bell Quinn; maternal grandmother, Ruth Baggs; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Kearney, Mo., on Saturday, February 22, at 10 a.m., followed with a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. Internment with VFW honor guard ceremony will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery, Kearney, Mo.
