Chad Anthony Sanstra
Chad Anthony Sanstra, of Kansas City, Mo., Northland, ended his journey here on Earth, on Tuesday, June 14, 2016.
Chad was born on March 30, 1976, in Kansas City, Mo. He was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, graduating from Park Hill High School. Chad then began his work career as a land surveyor, which was the work he loved and enjoyed at the time of his death. Chad also worked for a time as a tree climber at Asplundh. Chad made lifelong friends wherever he worked.
Chad was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Sanstra.
He is survived by his mother, Marsha Summers-Snodgrass and his stepfather, Les Snodgrass of Pomme de Terre Lake, Mo.; sister, Staci Merriman of Lathrop, Mo.; and many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Chad is also survived by his greatest gifts, his four sons, Seth, Brystol, Indy and Daytona, who he loved dearly and was always dedicated. Chad and his boys bonded through sports and activities; football, Nascar, KC Royals, video games, camping and wrestling. He loved all holiday functions with his boys and families.
Chad had a fierce love of music. He always had a song in his head and in his heart, which he never hesitated to share with whomever he was around. His infectious smile and fun loving personality will be deeply missed.
Chad was a spunky and sincere person, who never failed to show affection to those he loved – his mother, his boys, his relatives and his friends, and he was never embarrassed by public displays of affection.
Chad will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched, as well as Colby, the boys’ and Chad’s faithful dog.
Celebration of Life services for Chad will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Basswood Resort Event Hall, 15880 Interurban Road, Platte City, Mo.
Chad chose to be an organ donor to help those in need.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
