Daniel G. Allen
Daniel G. Allen, 75, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away October 30, 2016 at Valley Manor Nursing Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo., after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.
Dan loved life to the fullest and made friends everywhere he went. He also loved his work. He worked at McCullough Construction Company, was a superintendent at Jim Kidwell Construction, Damon Purcell Construction and Schoonover Brothers Construction Company among others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lula Allen and a brother, Richard Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Allen of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; his son, Rick Allen and wife, Karla of Cumming, Ga.; his daughter, Vicki DeWille of Allen, Texas; his brother, Michael Allen of Friendswood, Texas; his step-son, Dennis Baxter of Houston, Texas; and his step daughter, Kathy Baxter of Independence, Mo. He also leaves his grandchildren, Sarah, Maegan, Russell, Andrew, Ciara, Mikel, Lindsay and Missy, and great-grandchildren Ariana, Kaleigh and Isaiah.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2016 with memorial service immediately following at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
