Debbie Bonuchi
Debbie Joe Bonuchi passed away peacefully at the age of 53, with her family by her side, surrounded by all those that loved her deeply, on the 28th of July, 2013.
Debbie Bonuchi was born on the 6th of January, 1960. She was a graduate of Excelsior Springs High School and Park University. For most of her life, she dedicated herself to helping others. Debbie Bonuchi was a high school teacher, a swim and dive coach and the manager of Bonuchi’s Sport Center for many years, where she had a positive impact on many area youth. She was a loving daughter, dedicated mother and devoted grandmother. Debbie had a huge heart, caring for others as if they were part of her own family. Giving was her greatest gift, even at the end as she gave the greatest gift of all by being a donor.
Debbie Bonuchi is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Scoma, her husband, Barry, and grandchildren, Hunter and Parker of Excelsior Springs; son, Mike Ruff, his wife, Lauren, and grandchild, Emma of Liberty; and daughter, Amy Brittain and her husband, Beau of Kansas City. Debbie is also survived by her parents, Vic and Joann Bonuchi of Excelsior Springs; her sister, Viki Personett and her husband, Ken of Liberty; brother, Ed Bonuchi of Excelsior Springs; her nieces and nephews, Lindsey, Kenny, Brandi, Shane and Tori; and the rest of her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Excelsior Springs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013. The Funeral Mass will follow the visitation.
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes and there will be no more death, crying, sorrow or pain. All these things will be gone FOREVER.” Revelation 21:4. Through our faith, we are comforted in knowing that one day we will be with Debbie again.
